We’re all spiritual beings with a spiritual support system on the Other Side that oversees and helps guide our lives from the moment we’re born to the moment we leave our physical bodies and return to Spirit. Not knowing this fact is a severe handicap, as the Universe is designed to care for and nurture all its creatures and help make our life’s journey easier and more successful.

When we learn how to connect with our angelic guides, our lives naturally fall into a pattern of ease and flow during which we grow our souls, fulfill our life’s purpose, and make our time on Earth endlessly entertaining.

Listening to the Oracle; The Ancient Art of Finding Guidance in the Signs and Symbols All Around Us by Diane Skafte

Oracles–wise messengers that help steer our lives–come to us from sources such as dreams, divination, patterns in nature, chance words overheard in a crowd, and inspired wisdom-speakers. Ancient peoples revered oracles as communications from the sacred life maxtrix. But in modern times, we need a little help attuning to the signs and wonders all around us.

Dr. Skafte rekindles our oracular knowing by exploring oracle traditions from many time periods and applying their wisdom to our own lives. Topics include: Preparing to receive oracles; The arts of divination, Sibyls; The oracle of Delphi; The shadow side of oracles; and Communications from animals and nature. Discussions are based on extensive historical research. The book contains over 400 indexed citations. Every chapter contains useful exercises and practices.

The ancient oracles haven’t stopped speaking, Skafte says. We’ve just forgotten how to listen. But they warmly await our return.

A fascinating, intriguing work of beauty and philosophy, hard to put down, and a great pleasure to read.

Dr. Judith Orloff’s Guide to Intuitive Healing: 5 Steps to Physical, Emotional, and Sexual Wellness by Judith Orloff

“We are the keepers of an intuitive intelligence so powerful it can tell us how to heal,” writes psychiatrist and practicing intuitive Judith Orloff, M.D. “We all possess within us an intuitive healing code that contains the blueprints for our health and happiness, and for the survival of everything that is good here on earth.”

Her aim is to teach you how to tap into and train your own intuitive powers and use them for your well-being. She divides the book into three parts: “The Body,” “Emotions and Relationships,” and “Sexual Wellness.”

Second Sight by Judith Orloff

This book uses a compelling structure where Dr. Orloff begins her tale at the breaking point in her professional career where she decides to integrate her intuitive skills with her professional psychiatric practice. From there, she leads the reader on a very personal journey where she dealt with her abilities, and there is a very touching chapter where she comes to a greater understanding of her family (particularly her mother and grandmother’s intuitive abilities).

She completes the cycle by showing ways to apply intuitive reasoning into everyday life, Dr. Orloff avoids the normal clichés and makes the skills applicable to most readers. I really enjoyed her writing style and the structure of the writing.

Trust Your Vibes: Secret Tools for Six-Sensory Living by Sonia Choquette

“The price people pay for ignoring their vibes is high: They end up living in fear, feeling indadequate and powerless. They make decisions that aren’t good for them, which leads them to places other than where they want to be. They become anxious and addictive, acting aggressively, even violently, toward those they love, thus alienating themselves even more.

They become stressed, even physically ill, and enjoy no real peace of mind. Wandering around in the darkness of second guessing and worry, they fight against life or get trampled beneath it and fail to achieve their purpose or spiritual goals, thus wasting, instead of living, their lives.”

Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Folklore, fairy tales and dream symbols are called on to help restore women’s neglected intuitive and instinctive abilities in this earthy first book by a Jungian analyst. According to Estes, wolves and women share a psychic bond in their fierceness, grace and devotion to mate and community.

This comparison defines the archetype of the Wild Woman, a female in touch with her primitive side and able to rely on gut feelings to make choices. The tales here, from various cultures, are not necessarily about wolves; instead, they illuminate fresh perspectives on relationships, self-image, even addiction.

The Journey Beyond Enlightenment – The Next Step in Your Personal Transformation, By Stuart Wilde

(6 Compact Discs and a CD ROM Workbook,
Original Nightingale-Conant Edition)

Stuart Wilde is a true spiritual adventurer and a delight.  I find him to be quite unusual in the field of consciousness in that he combines real cutting edge ideas and techniques with a real down to earth, in your face sort of presentation.  This particular CD set contains some real gems–lots of concrete exercises for moving into what Stuart calls “The Morph;” what I would call the Otherworld or the Unseen.  It’s about developing your intuitive and psychic abilities while at the same time cultivating an open-hearted awareness of your connection to all humanity–a great protection against the dangers of feeling ”special” that often accompany the development of psychic skills. One caveat–Stuart’s own Journey Beyond Enlightenment has apparently been a rocky one, and the first CD reflects his own struggles to free himself from ego attachments.  I found that first CD to be a little jarring and not particularly helpful, although there were times in my life that it might have been necessary to listen to it. Feel into the first CD and if it doesn’t resonate with where you are on your path, just move on to the next one.  KVS
